Primary 2

P2 have been learning about the sun, the moon and the stars. We found out that stars are made of boiling gas and how we get get day and night. We used books and pictures to gather information. For art we made rockets out of junk material, that was my favourite thing so far this term.

In Reading we have read: Chinese Adventure, The great race, and the Broken Roof. One week, for homework we were given a maths game to play. We had to put numbers in order. by Aidan

September 2009 

We were learning about space. We were looking at a globe and learning about night and day. We learnt about the sun, and the Earth. We also learnt about the seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. It was fun when we made planets out of plates, tissue paper, cardboard and pens. We made pictures of some of the planets out of pastels and we rubbed them with our thumbs to make them look more realistic.

November 2009

On Monday the 2nd of November Primary 1C and 2C went to Corstorphine Library. We met Nicola the librarian and read books. We learned how to choose books.
