Updated class pages and news items!
We have drawn pictures of ourselves and they are stuck on the wall. After the september holidays we get to have our lunch in school, lots of P1s are exited and happy.
In language we were learning sounds such as N,S,A,T and P. Our teacher has told us how to make words out of the sounds we are learning. In maths, we had a frog display made out of big frogs and frogs that numbers could be stuck on.We were counting and we managed to get up to 29! We were playing a bowling game on some laptops and once we threw the ball we had to count how many we knocked down and how many stayed up. It helped us to count but also taught us how to share as we had to take turns. We made our first book and it is full of nice pictures and neat hand-writing.

We have started going out for break and we are having fun playing with and making lots of new friends. We have started going to assembly and we are sitting at the front. We also learn lots of new songs.

November 2009

So far in November we have made outlines of our, bodies then stuck a herat and the rest of the organs inside. We used lots of bits of coloured paper to make the organs and one piece of giant white paper per person to make the bodies. We cut out white bits of paper and made them look like bones then we stuck them together and made a skeleton. We were learning about our families and we drew black and white pictures of them and had lots of fun activities in the family corner. We learned about growing from a baby to a child to a man then to a old man - we all enjoyed this because one day it will happen to us! We wrote a funny sentence on our family such as: The trouble with my brother is he is a clown!

We are reading about Biff,Chip and Kipper in the magic key stories. We drew a family tree of them. Biff ,Chip and Kipper were at the bottom ,Mum and dad in the middle and Gran at the top. We were using frogs to help us count up to ten. They could be shiny, big or small but they were all green. We had an animal number line to help us aswell - there were elephants, tigers, koala bears and other jungle animals. We also hung up paper clothes with numbers on them. They were hung from the ceiling and the types of clothing were shoes, socks, trousers and tops.
